Verrucae normally resolve themselves within a year, so it is not always necessary to treat them. If your verruca has become painful, perhaps it’s particularly large or you have had it for years and decide you want it gone, then please book in to see one of our podiatrists or foot health practitioners here at BodiKind.
Here are the two options we use for treating verrucae:
Verruca Needling
Verruca needling is a one-off treatment under local anaesthetic (numbing of the foot), we expect to see a reduction or resolution within four weeks and a complete resolution within 30 weeks. Only one foot can be treated at a time. Commonly, if one verruca goes, they all do.
Verruca Needling costs £350 (including follow up appointments)
VerruTop
VerruTop is a multi-acid treatment that mummifies the verruca tissue. It is a course of a of up to six treatments, each treatment takes between 15-30 minutes. You can experience mild discomfort when VerruTop is applied and for 24 hours post application. We advise clients to apply surgical spirit to the verrucae twice daily between treatments. Sessions should be between 7-24 days apart. We book the whole six-session course on the initial appointment and then cancel any unrequired appointments once the verruca has resolved.
